Date Afternoon...

Hubbs and I had a little date afternoon this past weekend. I was so excited because we planned it last minute. I was watching the news, no clue why it was even on, I NEVER watch the news. That crap scares me. but anyways they were showing the Cirque Dreams cast and some of their tricks and saying that they were in town this weekend.

I had known Jordan really wanted to see Cirque Du Soleil so I jumped on the chance to get us some tickets and have a little husband and wife time.

So first off let me tell you Cirque Du Soleil and Cirque Dreams Illumination are not the same thing.
MY BAD...
I had told Jordan it was the same thing lol so needless to say he was tad skeptical because he wanted to see the ACTUAL Cirque Du Soleil.

Anyways. I thought it was ALL the same. They both do some cool crazy crap that makes your jaw drop. The only difference was this one was a Broadway type show that included singing...
I am not a huge Broadway person, I am just not into the whole singing instead of speaking thing.
((Never been to a Broadway show but I am just guessing because I get VERY annoyed watching Glee, same thing right?))

We put the boys down for the naps and headed out. They had a bar so I got a Mudslide, i figured it would not be strong at all...
BOY WAS I WRONG...
I was seriously feeling it by intermission.
I was a little nervous to walk to the bathroom in fear of tripping on my heels and looking like a hot mess.

I have been pregnant/breast feeding for the past 2-3 years so I am now a light weight.

Enough about that.

The show ROCKED....It was so freaking cool.

The singing was not as bad as I thought. I could handle it because it was broken up a lot.

The acrobats were HANDS down AMAZING.

I am a huge snob when it comes to gymnastics or stunting since I did gymnastics and cheered co-ed in college and did some crazy stuff while flying through the air, so sometimes I tend to critique more than a typical person. (Clearly I was not as good as them but I feel cool thinking I was)

There were 2 acts where they did partner work, the weird thing was it was guys lifting guys....it could have been so much easier had they used girls. but whatever.
They were pretty bad.ace.
The one guy was balanced on top of the other guys head

I was not allowed to take pictures so I found some online.

This is not the exact picture but this is what they did...

I mean really...HOW DO THEY DO THAT.

Then there were these 4 girls....what they did was INSANE. They were high up on this cube and the cube was spinning and they would crawl like spiders ALL over each other and make these crazy intertwined formations.

Cubism

I have NO clue how in the world they pulled all the things off. It was a good 5-10 minutes long and they would hang by each others feet and arms. So freaky yet cool at the same time.

Jordan and I joked that these girls must be freaks.in.the.sheets. haha

It was just so creepy and weird but cool how flexible they were

Aerial Dance

Anyways I LOVED it, so did Jordan. He was not disappointed at all.

It was a great date and afternoon away. It always feels a little awkward to not have the kids in tow but being able to sit down without interruptions and watch an amazing show was so perfect.

If this show is in your town I recommend it.

In other news Vincent is 2 in 9 days....seriously freaking me out. I no joke started planning his party months ago and I still have a million things to go.
Procrastination at it's finest.

Our dining room aka Vincent's Party planning room is a HOT MESS. I have glass jars of candy for his buffet, that he keeps trying to take and have made things ALL OVER.

I need to get my act together in the next 2 weeks for his party.

We are doing his party on Saturday and then hosting Easter dinner as well on Sunday. I figured I would much rather do two parties in a row then do two separate weekends. One mess is better than two.

Well I need to do something productive during their nap time so peace out.
