Quick Christmas Getaway!

On Tuesday we made a quick one-nighter to a hot Christmas spot, Frankenmuth, MI....
It is a few hours away but it was worth it....

The town is so freaking cute and they have the world's largest Christmas store...
It was seriously NUTS....
Any ornament you could EVER imagine!

As long as we stay in this area we will make this a yearly tradition....
I love me some family traditions!!!
Here are the pics....
We checked into the hotel first and made our plan of attack...
Jordan is king of mapping things out and where we should visit...
He is the man with the plan!
HOLY KNICK KNACKS....kills my soul....
Inside Bronner's....
The place is as big as a football field and a half....packed to the walls with stuff!
I CAN NEVER EVER find ANYTHING with Vincent's name on it....

but Gustav makes the cut???
Really....!?!?!?

The cool thing was you could have ornaments and pretty much anything personalized...
Here is what we got...its actually a stand thingy....
Breakable ornaments are not my thing right now...
We decided we will get a special one made each year!:)
It was semi tricky to find one with 5 people....I told Jordan at the rate we are going...
We will need this BAD BOY with like 238291 kids....haha
Just chilling with Mary and Baby Jesus...
The best shot I could get....
They had horse drawn carriages all over town...
We only hit like maybe 1/10th of the town....we're saving more for next visit....
Vincent is just like me...
Loving anything Chocolate...
They had so many shops with goodies...
We got some more fudge, cheeses, and beer!
More shops...
We were meeting Jordans brother for dinner but his schedule varies (hes an surgical intern)
The boys were getting antcy so we overpaid to do a mirror maze
Insert Vincent, Luke and I ALL walking into mirrors...
and that is about it! haha! I wish we would have went earlier in the day because it was colder at night
and I didn't get as many good pics to capture the cute town!!
There is always next year!
They also do big festivals all year long...
We are thinking of maybe hitting up the Octoberfest one year!
If you are ever looking for something fun make the drive to Frankenmuth, MI!!

Luke is awake....
Gotta run....
XOXO

  1. Looks like fun! I totally would have run into mirrors too. It's really cool you guys were able to get stuff personalized too. I can never find one of my boy's names either.

  4. Do you live in MI? We go to Frankenmuth every March for Zhender's bday club. My hubby and I both have March birthdays, so we get free dinner. If this little one is born on his/her due date, we will have family dinner for free! haha!

Both Derek and I can't even go to Bronner's anymore because we had been there too much as kids. I'd probably be able to go in at Christmas time, but that much Christmas stuff in March when we go is just too much! :o) It looks like you guys had fun!

PS... I can't believe you can't find stuff with Vincent's name on it. You'd think that name would be common enough! ...pshhh Gustav!

  5. They have the BEST coconut clusters there. I almost made the 3 hour trip this year just to get some. They are by far better than any others I have ever had. One year I ordered them by mail.
