Tis The Season Q&A

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?
I never thought I liked egg nog until just last week when Jordan bought some
and forced me to try it! He mixed it with chocolate milk too and HOLY MOSES that rocked!
But I would prefer Hot Cocoa with whipped cream!

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
WRAP EM BABY!! I love wrapping paper so always wrapped!:)

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
Definitely white lights!
I love the LED ones because they are not "yellow"ish like normal "white" lights!

4. Do you hang mistletoe?
No, we never have that I can think of.
Maybe I should hang some over the master bed...
bow chicka wow wow
We don't need anything mistletoe to spice up our love lives! wink wink!

5. When do you put your decorations up?
After the First day of Advent which was last Sunday. We are going to make it a tradition to get our tree that day! Then decorate all week!:)

6. What is your favorite holiday dish?

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child?
I just always LOVED waking up to all the presents and being the FIRST one awake
(really not that crazy when it was just my brother and I)
As a teen I would watch A Christmas Story all night leading up to opening presents!
And Grandpa's Shirley Temples...story in #16

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
I am not really sure. I think before I was 10.

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
We used to have one gift we could open Christmas Eve! I loved that little teaser!:)
Now we have Christmas Eve Day at Jordan's dads so we open gifts from them then!

10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
Lights, Ribbons, Garland, Plastic Ornaments on the bottom, Glass ones (only a few) on top haha! Jordan has a TON of ornaments from when he was a kid but I am saving them til the boys are older so they do not break! But that's about it! Oh and the tree star, we haven't put that on yet!

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it?
I LOVE...looking at it in my warm house and playing in it (for a short amount of time!):)
I DREAD....driving in it and the cold!:(

12. Can you ice skate?
That was one of Jordan and I's first dates!:)
We went ice skating and got hot cocoa, it was heavenly!
BUT I have been pregnant or with a newborn the past 3 years so we haven't went!:(
Maybe next year!!

13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
This is SAD....I really do not!
I think with ALL the gifts I took them forgranted which is why we really limit
what we get the boys, I want them to LOVE what we get them!
I mean I had gifts FROM EVERYWHERE!
When your parents are divorced you get smothered with gifts,
I am sure I was NOT complaining but now looking back it was TOO MUCH!
My favorite gift is just being with my family, and eating, the other stuff does not matter!

14. What’s the most important thing about the Holidays for you?
Spending time with our families and friends, even if it's just a quick visit!
With two little ones we cannot make the rounds like we used to
but every moment we can spend with our loved ones is well worth it!

15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert?
FUDGE...haha is that a dessert
Killer crack Peanut Butter Fudge to be exact!
I will post the recipe this year when I make it!:)

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Ours have been sporadic with both our families having so much going on!
But I love spending the weekend before with Jordan's dad's side
Christmas Eve with Jordan's Dad
Christmas Day with his Mom & her side
AND were still figuring when to fit my family in! :(

See, the holidays are a HOT mess around here!
I lost all my grandparents on both sides of my family
So I can not imagine IF we had all those events too!
I kind of wish we did :(
My grandparents on my dad's side had the BEST holiday parties, they had
a bar in the basement and Grandpa always made me Shirley Temples so I felt like a
BIG GIRL! That is why I still LOVE those drinks to this day, I always think of him!
(insert tears)

But I can not wait to start the tradition of waking up Christmas morning in our house,
drinking some cocoa with Jordan by the fire (gotta have that ambiance)
and watching the boys run down the stairs for presents!
I think that will begin next year!:)

17. What tops your tree?
Nothing yet, we have to put our tree star on!

18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving?
GIVING is hands down the BEST!

19. Candy Canes: Yuck or Yum?
I could do without them! I like the BLUE ones though haha!

20. Favorite Christmas show?
A CHRISTMAS STORY, hands down!
ELF is in a close second

21. Saddest Christmas Song?
DUH that is easy...
Grandma got ran over by a reindeer!
HAHA I thought that was so funny when I was younger

22. What is your favorite Christmas song?
Britney Spears "My Only Wish This Year"
Nsync "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays!"
YES I am still in LOVE with those! haha
but for classics I would chose
"Baby it's cold outside"

Join in! Whats your favorite tradition? Thanks Beth for this idea!
