A fall day....

I have been itching to get some fall mums and stuff for the porch after talking a walk around the neighbordhood and admiring everyone else's porch.
Wednesday we had nothing planned so I packed the boys up and we hit a local farm that sells
everything possible for fall....
They even have wagons for the boys...or our fall supplies to ride in...
Vincent figured he should pull Luke instead of riding...
Smile...
Trying to get a picture of both of them looking AND smiling is darn near impossible unless daddy is with us...but I tried my best...
We got the best looking mums possible!!
The owner said they had just received the shipment that morning....SCORE!
We even found bales of hay which I had been day dreaming about...
All I wanted was for Vincent to sit on the bales and smile...
That totally is not how it worked out...
I even thought standing him next to them would work....
YA RIGHT...
Maybe he had a piece of straw up his bum?!?!? Seriously...chill out dude...
I guarantee he will sit there pretty and SMILE when we go back to pick pumpkins with daddy!....
The traumatic hay event lead to him sprinting to the car with a grumpy face haha
Is it bad that I laugh at him when he gets so mad?...
I think it's hilarious...
Sorry Vincent, you get NO sympathy from momma!

Anyways here is a little before and after of the porch area...
The dead summer flowers...
Now to the fresh fall looking porch...
I still have a few things I want to add to it, so I need to get my craft on and get them done!
Vincent was in charge of placing the pumpkins...
He took it really serious...
I seriously LOVE FALL!
I love the colors, the smells, the crisp air and all the fun holidays that it brings!
We enjoyed our fall day and look forward to many more before the snow hits and I start bitching about how much I hate winter and the cold...it never fails...
until next time...

Pumpkin Whoopie Pies...

I saw these on Pinterest Sunday and had to make them ASAP! So I did just that....I ran out to the store and got all my goods and make these bad boys...
PS find me on pinterest! Follow Me on Pinterest I will follow you back as well!

I used Rachel Ray's recipe because it seemed pretty straight forward and easy....
which is very true...
This makes about 12 whoopie pies...double if you want more..
You will need....
1 stick of butter- melted
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup canned pumpkin puree
1 TBS pumpkin pie spice
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
1 2/3 cup flour
Preheat oven to 350
Whisk together sugar and butter.
Add in eggs, pumpkin, spices, baking soda/powder and vanilla.
Fold in the flour...

Drop by spoonful to a greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes or until springy to touch.
Dry on a cooling rack.

Meanwhile mix together the frosting...
You will need...
1/2 stick softened butter
1 cup powdered sugar
4 oz cream cheese
2 pinches of salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
(pumpkin pie spice-your choice)

Cream together butter and cream cheese. Add in vanilla and salt. Slowly add and mix in the powdered sugar to desired consistency. Frost the cookies once they are cooled.
I tasted the cookies and realized they were not super "PUMPKINY" so I added pumpkin pie spice to the frosting for a special touch...I loved it!

Frost those little guys and ENJOY!

If you have a favorite pumpkin recipe let me know
because I am ALL ABOUT pumpkin right now! YUMMM!
HAPPY BAKING!
XOXO

Finding out the Gender!!?

I have had a lot of people asking when we have the BIG ultrasound...
(And more importantly when we find the gender out)
Let's face it that's the BIG part of that ultrasound...
You all aren't concerned about the crown to rump length...
((if you are I can for sure give you that info))
You just wanna know if it's a girl or a boy! haha
What I can tell you for certain is that the date and time are SET!
October 21st @ 8am
IS THE BIG SHOW....

But....(there always has to be a but when talking about the BIG ultrasound)
we are torn on what to do....
well.... I AM TORN...
Jordan has been set on NOT wanting to know....
I am wishy washy....I, in have ALWAYS said that I would like one of my kids genders to be a SURPRISE...
But now that we are up to #3 I am wishy washy on HOW MANY kids we will actually have...
This could be our last babe (some of you are probably saying "YA RIGHT" if you know us!)
Therefore it could be my last shot to make it a HUGE suprise at the end of this journey...
I am tempted to NOT find out...
but....(once again with the but's)

If it's a girl, I WANT TO SHOP!! haha
I mean my baby girl would HAVE TO have a bow in her hair that first day...
and a girly knit hat to come home in...
these are all "givens", am I right ladies with girls!?

Here comes another but....
HOW COOL would it be to find out the gender after you push that little baby out...
I mean that gives me tears...
the whole birth process makes me tear up...
but to have all that wondering about the gender built up for 40 weeks,
all end the moment you hold he/she is probably pretty magical...

Another idea I had was me finding out....alone....
but (I said there would be lots of but's)
last time we played that game (with Luke)...
I knew the gender and Jordan did not...
and about 10 weeks before the due date I accidentially dropped the ball...
Therefore Jordan thinks I do not have the ability to keep a secret.
HAHA....He is probabaly right....
He would totally know...
I suck at keeping a secret....
especially one that BIG....and I don't want to have to keep it a secret.

So I am STUCK....
I have 3 weeks to figure it out...
The thing that sucks is that if I am the only one to find out...
I cannot tell you guys...
Jordan follows my blog (#1 fan...holler)
therefore you will be stuck waiting until March....
you can thank Jordan for that....I'll give you his cell so you can yell at him....(joking, hunny!)

I really do not know what to do. Maybe the baby will decide for me and choose to not show the goods!

This is all TOO tempting...
I am already envisioning me lying on the table and the doctor asking....
"Mommy and Daddy would you like to know the gender"
"YES.....OMG.....NO!!!"
I need to figure this out....

Visiting with C-Squared!

I was so excited to visit again with Chrissy and Claira a few weeks ago! Jordan had work near by hometown so the boys and I went along and saw my family and Chrissy and Claira! I get to see them again in a few weeks also! So many visits make me VERY HAPPY!

Here are some pics....these are taken by Chrissy....
Me loving Claira...(secretly I am telling her to give baby #3 her girl power!)
Picture 17

Vincent is infatuated with Claira...
Picture 18
Luke could have cared less about a baby...he was more concerned with fitting his chubby body in her car seat...
Picture 16
Chrissy made the boys some gifts...HOW ON EARTH did she find the time with a new baby!??!
 I call her super momma!
Picture 19

Smile, Vincent!
Picture 22
By the way we now have an imaginary Claira in our house that Vincent carries!
She must be really little because she fits in his hands...
He needs to work on his baby skills because he imaginary Claira down for a nap on his beanbag....she's been there for almost a week! lol

Here are a few pics I took of Miss Claira...
Smiling at Vincent...
I seriously LOVE her....she is such a girl...with such girly features!
I cannot wait to hold her again in a few weeks!! EEEEEK!!!:)

Am I right guys, is she not the cutest little baby girl EVER!?!?

Let's go to the PARK...

Last week we spent 3 days at the park...
That is more than we did probably in one summer month...
It was FAR too hot this summer!
Now that it is cooling down we can actually enjoy the outdoors...
Here are pictures from 2 of the days...
Feeding the ducks...
and some nasty geese with attitudes..
After Vincent's meltdown of the goose stealing the bread out of his hands he was all smiles...
After the geese incident Jordan taught V how to yell at the geese and say "NO Mr Goose Stop THAT!"
On park day 2 I forgot the bread...party pooper!
We still had fun!
I love this shot of my husband!
Daddy enjoys swinging as much as the kids...
PS...This puppy has become V's new obsession out of NOWHERE! AHHHH!
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TURN AROUND FOR 1 SECOND...
AND THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED WHEN I THEN TURNED TO TELL VINCENT TO STOP...
Boys will be boys I guess....ahhhh!
Oh and I love this shot of Jordan as well! I love that man...
I am sure we will have plenty more days at the park before we pack it all in for winter! AHHHH!
I am totally excited for the boys to play in the snow though!

Are you excited to finally have cool weather and now sweat the minute you walk outside!? and also...
What's your favorite outdoor family activity!?

xoxo
