Confession Time...

I cannot believe I am going to confess this...
(hopefully you will laugh and not hate me)
::fingers crossed::
Keep in mind it happened when I was about 8 months pregnant with Vincent...
::therefore I had zero clue of the aftermath your body has post delivery::
I was standing in the check out line at the grocery...
Catching up on the latest on the magazines...
You know the :good stuff: like who is pregnant, cheating, or in jail...
::my stepmom told me my dad does the same exact thing...hilarious::
Jennifer Aniston was on the cover with the typical headline...
"She is finally pregnant...blah blah blah" with a barely bloated stomach...
A cute lady is also looking at the cover and says
"No way she can be pregnant, she is so tiny"
I glanced over and noticed this cute lady also had a cute bump that resembled mine...
I always get excited to see other pregnant people...
It's like seeing family...very exciting...
Anyways this scenario was not.so.much!
She asked when I was due and I said April so of course the logical question of
"When are you due" blurted out of my mouth...
"I just had my baby 2 weeks ago"
Insert my face turning bright freaking red and my foot finding it's way to my mouth!

I really truly forget what I said but it was a HUGE apology with me and then we parted ways...
At the time I had no freaking idea your belly would still be big...
Now I know after you pop that baby out you still look pregnant for a good while!
:Major pain in the butt I must add::
I was a total idiot...and I am sure I made her cry which breaks my heart!
If she was a blogger there is certainly a post out there about the *itch who asked if I was pregnant!

If it makes you feel better the little girl I used to nanny asked me if I still had a baby in my belly
a few weeks after we had Vincent... a tiny case of karma I guess!

Now I know NEVER to assume any thing just from looking at their midsection...
If you have not had kids yet, learn from my mistake...lol

Anyways the reason I am confessing this NOW is because of this commercial...
I literally laughed out loud over it...
If only I would have had a glass of wine to throw on myself during the moment...

I also giggle over this gem by them...

High five to them for making funny commercials!
Please don't hate me for my confession...

  1. ah I wouldn't be too concerned about it! At least she WAS pregnant at one time :) I tend to have foot in mouth syndrome, so it's totally something I've done (and am sure to do again)

  7. So I knew after having the baby I wouldn't immediately go back to my pre-baby body but admittedly I didn't expect to still be as big as I was for a few weeks afterwards. I swelled a LOT during labor and my C-section. Anyways, on my first post baby outing a week after to Target with my mom, I went to the in store Starbucks and ordered my first caffeinated drink in 9 months and eased myself into a chair to wait (I was still in pain from the Csection) and the lady behind the counter asked me when I was due! I said I had the baby a week before, she immediately explained that she only asked b/c of how I had sat down and not b/c of my belly. Sure. haha. All I could do was just laugh it off at that point.

  9. LOLOLOLOL.

At least the girl you asked had her baby like 2 weeks beforehand. My bestie gets asked when she's due frequently and she's never had a baby nor is she pregnant. I don't really get it. She's got a wee little pot belly but she doesn't look at all pregnant to me. Anyways, it was an honest mistake.

  10. Oh my gosh, lol! Seriously though, she has to know she still looks pregnant! I felt 6 months pregnant after I had my little. And recently I had a girl look at my stomach and ask if I was pregnant with #2... nope.

    Have a good day!

  11. hahaha omg... that poor lady! And poor you! I would have been mortified if this happened to me. But, given the situation, I would totally have asked her the same thing. Don't feel too bad. Like the above commenter said, at least she was just pregnant. oh, those videos are so funny!
