If you didn't know already, I love pretty much every holiday.
A reason to cook extra and spend time with family and friends.
Today Vincent and I made a Flag Fruit Pizza.
I used my Gluten Free Fruit Pizza Recipe- I actually doubled it to make it larger.
You will need:
1 1/2 cup sugar plus 4TBS
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cup coconut flour (I order mine in bulk from amazon...much cheaper)
I cup butter.
Mix it all together.
The dough is very STICKY. I had to wet my hands several time to spread effectively.
I spread it out on parchment paper in the shape of a flag.
The parchment paper actually helped me to be able to shape it easier.
I would just fold the edges and push the dough into it to make them straighter.
I baked it for 10-15 minutes until the edges browned. Then the fun part came...DECORATING!
For the frosting I used:
2- 8oz packages of Cream Cheese
1 large container of Marshmallow Cream
I forgot the bananas in this picture.
For the flag I used:
Package of Strawberries
Large Package of Blueberries
He did so great lining them up!
I cannot wait to eat this yummy treat tonight!!
