How many?.....this is hilarious!

The most normal comment I get when I have all the boys with me is "wow, you have your hands full?" Yes, yes I do! haha! It's funny because I have started to hold back when I tell people our kids ages, mainly because of the blank look of horror I get every time I say "3, 2, 1" for their ages. The other day during a session my client asked and I said "I don't want to tell you because people think we are completely insane" so of course I told her and she laughed her butt off and said I was indeed insane!! hahaha!

How true is this diagram?? What do people most say to you about your # of kids???

  1. I have an 8 month old and I'm pregnant with our second. They'll be 15 months apart. I constantly hear "you're gonna be a busy woman" (duh!) and "that's worse than twins" (what does that even mean?) Haha!

  2. We have two kiddos, a boy and a girl, who are 14 months apart. They are almost 5 and almost 6 now, and for a few years I've been asked when out and about "are they twins???". Nope. They are the same height though, so I can understand their asking. Doesn't bother me at all :-) To the first commenter (woman in a man's world) at first things were challenging (my daughter wasn't walking yet...I had had to have a c-section and couldn't lift her, etc...) but now as they grow it is AMAZING! I absolutely LOVE having them so close in age. I sometimes wonder if this is similar to having twins. They still argue and have their moments, but for the most part they are great friends, and love learning, playing, etc... together :-)

  3. LOL! This is so funny to me!! I don't have any kiddos yet, but I've definitely heard friends/family being asked similar things like that! My husband's cousins have 3 kids, and they are 4,3,2 and even though I'm sure its chaotic at times, I think it would be kinda fun to have them all that close in age!! (says the woman with no kids, I know!!) ;)

  4. I think having kids close together is a great strategy, myself, one that I hope to use. I have a friend who has two boy, who just turned 1 and 2, and she's 8 months pregnant. Now that's just about a fast as you can go, I think!
I am the oldest of seven kids, but I'm 15 years older than my youngest sister, so I'm not sure that all that many people who saw us ever quite realized that we were all siblings.... :P

  5. I have 3 boys and our 4th will be here in June...people still ask if we are going to try for another and hope for a girl...I ask why I have all boy stuff already and boys are fun!!!

  6. Hahaha love it. I was just think about this today because I am pregnant with my 3rd. The other day some asked if it will be my first and I said "no it is my 3rd." Of course the next question was "how old are your others?" When I said "my boy is 2 and my girl just turned 1." I got the look I am sure you have come to know. The one that says "I'm sorry, your an idiot, your insane, does she know why she keeps getting pregnant??" I must say some days it is amusing, other days I want to say something rude in return lol.

  7. I get the same comment with a 4, 2, and 9 month old ALL THE TIME. My response is always, "pop em out quick and be done with it!" haha
I love seeing how close the boys have become though. They are best friends, it's adorable! :)

  8. One boy and one girl is right on! Can't tell you how many times I've heard that in the past twelve weeks since Niccolo was born. It's like we've reached our goal so time to stop!!

  9. I found your blog through a friend. I'm impressed you still find time to blog with 3 littles! I have been a blog slacker since my youngest was born...a year ago! ;)

I am in the same boat as you...3 kids in just a little over 3 years. My oldest was 3 when my 3rd was born. I get comments ALL THE TIME. Are the girls twins? (they are a year and a half apart...and different heights, etc. WHAT?!?!) Are they all yours?! Are you done yet?

    People need a filter. ;)
