This is happening....

Tomorrow morning it is happening.
LASIK surgery on the good ole eye balls.
My friends I will share with you just how bad my eyes are.
My contacts are -5.75, without glasses the world is a hot mess blur.

I do not know how I am going to act when I wake up and can SEE in the middle of the night.
Or what I will do when I do not have to fuss around with contact lenses daily.
I am nervous but very excited.

The new treatment involves no lens flap cutting, it is all laser.
Talk about a tiny relief.
It will take less than a minute for each eye.
Say a tiny prayer for me tomorrow.

The best part is that I have to keep my eyes closed ALL DAY after the surgery.
That is beyond amazing for a mom.
An entire day in bed. Even when I am sick this never happens.
So cheers to hopefully amazing eye sight tomorrow morning.
Peace out glasses and contacts.

  1. What are you going to do when you're awake and can't see or need to eat or pee?!?!? Can't wait to hear how it goes! Good luck! I'll be prayin'!

  2. Yay! So exciting! I'm hoping to get Lasik someday. I've word glasses since second grade and contacts since fourth so I don't remember what it's like to wake up and be able to see! I can't wait to hear how it goes!

  3. you won't be sorry!

  4. I recently started following your blog so thought I'd say hi and good luck! I'm jealous- my eyes are just as bad as yours but I haven't been able to get Lasik yet. I can't imagine being able to see without glasses or contacts! It will be amazing I'm sure!! :)

  5. good luck! my vision isn't too bad, i have a 2.00 on one eye and 1.75 on the other, but still, the first time i put on contacts i was struck with wonder at being able to see individual leaves on a tree haha. it'd be nice to not need contacts or glasses to watch tv in bed though :)

  6. Good luck. My eyes are around -9.75 so I know a bit about not being able to see... but I'm scared to death of LASIK. I really do want to have it someday (if I can ever afford it), but right now I can't even sit still for a regular eye exam.
