Mistresses...Guilty Pleasure!

No don't worry we don't have any mistress stories in this family.
Or at least I hope not, but trust me with a husband in sales I hear a lot of wonderful stories and some of these sweet women are also hitting on my husband, so adoring of those wonderful girls.
Well that is neither here nor there because I am not worried in the least.
It just disturbs me to the core that women cheat on their husbands and vice versa.
Hello, why get married in the first place, people?

Anyways. I am a huge ABC fan....Nashville anyone???
I always watch their shows on the ABC app before bed. I had noticed the new show Mistresses a few months back and got instantly annoyed.
Great, highlight these skanky girls who cheat on their husbands, that will be great for the sanctity of marriage, since being faithful in marriage is already sinking like a ship in the US.

I knew I would instantly hate the show and I had no intentions of even watching it....
Then one night I could not sleep at all, which is happening a lot lately and I watched the first episode.
I instantly got sucked in. The characters stories are so good and it's shockingly a great show.
It always leaves me hanging on the edge of my seat.
Now not everyone of these girls is a mistress haha some of them have been effected by mistresses sleeping with their husbands, so its cool to watch all sides of it play out.
I am shocked and a tad ashamed to say that I love this show.
I just rank it up there with my love for the crazy Real Housewives.....

Now I need to know....
Am I the only one who has been sucked into the show!?!?

DIY Camera Bag

I searched high and low for the perfect camera bag.
I needed an upgrade from my first bag, which I loved and totally recommend
::The LowePro Sling::
The bag was perfect at first and fit my Rebel and a few lenses just fine!
But, I now have a lot more to drag along with 2 camera bodies and 4 lenses and all the gadgets that go along with it and I was out of space. I searched all over and honestly did not find anything that I loved!
Everything I liked was well over 200 bucks.
I decided to just do it myself and get an insert and a bag that I love and be done with it!
I searched high and low through totes from every company and found a travel tote on Coach
that would be perfect. The fabric was also water repellent which is a huge bonus with kids!
I can fit 2 camera bodies (Canon 5D/Canon Rebel), 4 Canon Lenses, and all my chargers, flash, business cards, suckers for kiddos and even make up or diapers within the bag and insert!
Snug as a bug in a rug!! It's nice because it zips up so the boys can't get in too easily!
Like I said it's water repellent so I don't feel bad about sitting it down in the grass or dirt.
So far I am in love with it. It hangs nicely on my shoulder and is super comfy!!
Hope you enjoy my easy semi-DIY camera bag!!!

Decisions, Decisions....

We are back from our week vacation and I wish I could say that I was rested and rejuvenated but that is not the case, sadly haha! One day I know we will have restful and peaceful vacations but those days are very far away for now we are just keeping up with life as best we can.

When we got home we had an invite from Vincent's preschool for a playdate for students and parents.

Yes, I said Preschool.

6 months ago, that word would have never came out of my mouth, my mind back then was 100% set on me homeschooling the boys. I had no doubt in my mind that I would be the boys teacher. Then a lot changed when I got pregnant with baby #4. I was exhausted to the max and thoroughly losing my patience on normal daily things. I noticed it most with the boys, my patience would thin a lot quicker than usual and it was so not cool, definitely not the mom I wanted to be in the least. I want to be there 125% for my kids, emotionally, physically, the whole shabang but this pregnancy threw me through the loops, I had never experienced exhaustion to this degree and I was becoming way more stressed with the thought of the fact that I had planned to start homeschooling in the fall.

One night in bed Jordan confessed to me, even though I know it broke his heart that he thought I might not be emotionally ready for all that homeschooling would require this fall. I was VERY hurt at first, even mad that he was questioning my ability. But he was RIGHT, I was slowly losing my cool and maybe at this time I am not the right person to be teaching the kids with another baby coming in December. We then had to make a MAD rush to even find a preschool because registration started at the start of the year and we were already into March, after a few hiccups we got the boys into our home parish, Vincent will attend 4 year old preschool 4 days a week and Luke will attend 3 year old preschool 2 days a week.

I am still on the fence about the whole thing and very hesitant but trying to stay optimistic. The worst that can happen is that we hate it and come back to the roots of wanting to homeschool and truthfully I have a feeling they will love it and all will be well. At least we have a back up plan and right now, it's just preschool so I am not too worried. It's only a few hours a day so truthfully it will all be fine. Our main reason for wanting to homeschool was to keep our Catholic values the center of it all, and the fact that they will be at a Catholic school is definitely reassuring. Plus, we do so much at home with our faith that I know the boys will be fine. We are going to go into this with our minds open and be open to the reality that our kids may be in school, and allow us to put our faith in the school and the teachers.

Today we had our preschool play date for Vincent and while it was a tad intimidating the school and teacher gave me a really warm feeling. The class sizes are very small and the teacher was sweet as can be. The parents were all amazing as well. Vincent enjoyed himself but with it being his FIRST real classroom setting was a tad timid. I get to attend the first day with him and Luke so that will be nice to ease them into this. Never in a million years did I think we would be sending them but like I said I am leaving this one up to God, He has never failed us and I don't forsee Him doing so anytime soon.

Here are a few pics from our playdate. My big 4 year old. Oh my!

So there you have it. I am at peace with the decision and at peace with the fact that I can't do it all. As much as I wanted to be the kick ass mom who did it all on top of homeschooling, I just can't. And it's not to say that one day we won't turn back to homeschooling, we truly may but for now, it is what it is and I am happy (a tad terrified) but happy.

Plus, it was also an excuse to shop for cute backpacks and "school" clothes ;)

Can't wait to edit our vacation pictures, ps do you notice that nice mark on Vincent's face, WELL he fell getting into the car on vacation and OMG his head gashed open, blood everywhere, it was not just a cut it was HUGE, I could see flesh and that is not okay with me. I freaked. He is totally going to scar. We were literally an hour from a hospital and Jordan's dad is a doctor so he butterflied it with some duct tape lol yes, duct tape! Vincent took a selfie of his bandage.
Also if you ask what happened, he will tell you he got hit by a car.
LOL
I just laugh because I am sure people totally freak out by his answer.

Happy Tuesday friends!

17 Weeks....& Name Reveal!

It's time to start the monthly updates
I would say weekly, but let's not kid ourselves I cannot commit to that!
Now that my belly is finally showing I am going to take weekly pics and then update then when they things look bigger ;)
Anyways....here we go!
How far along are you?
17 weeks, it has really flown by!

Total weight gain:
up 8 lbs although it feels like so much more.
I am sure after next week and our vacation I will be in double digits haha

How big is baby?:
About 5 ounces and 5 inches from head to buns! About the size of a bell pepper
Yum Yum!

Maternity clothes:
Not yet, I stocked up on some T's in a size up that should get me through the pregnancy!
I can't stand maternity clothes so I try to just make it through with larger sizes in pants and shirts!

Stretch marks?:
No more than before!

Sleep?:
Decent, I have been reading before bed to try to fall asleep quicker and it's been working so it's getting better and I limited my water intake at night so I am not going to the bathroom a million times.

Best moment this week?:
Vincent and Luke keep mentioning the baby. They both claim it's a girl! I just love hearing them talk about the baby. I love reminding them that they were once in my belly as well. It's so surreal to be pregnant and to have toddlers, you can see what they will become in just a few short years!

Movement?:
I have felt tiny twinges here and there! I love it!

Food cravings?:
I go back and forth between sweet and salty.
I have just been trying to keep my protein intake up because I get dizzy and lightheaded a lot.
Just gotta keep eating!

Food aversions?:
None really

Labor signs?:
No way thank God!

Belly button in or out?:
Still in!

What I miss:
I would LOVE a glass of wine, or two!
And to not feel exhausted. This pregnancy has been the worst thus far!

What I'm looking forward to:
Meeting our little one in 23ish weeks! I cannot wait to hold him or her!

What I'm not looking forward to:
Delivery...
Jude came within 15 minutes of us walking into the hospital so I am VERY nervous for the delivery. I just want to make it to the hospital, I can already picture me delivering him or her in the car or something awkward. I just want enough notice to get into a room and have a doctor deliver haha!

Gender:
We are NOT finding out.
I know I said that the past two times but Jordan is VERY adamant that he does not want to know.
So we will have our ultrasound next month and LOOK AWAY when they show the gender....
What I can tell you is that we have names.
William John or William Joseph
is our top runner for the boys team
Let's face it, it's probably another boy haha
BUT if not, we decided on a NEW girl name....
Charlotte Rose!
We had been in love with Giuliana but the love faded and we have both fallen in love with Charlotte!
I just love the old charm to it, my great aunt was named Charlotte and she was a spit fire and always the person I looked forward to seeing so it is only fitting to name her Charlotte!

There you have it....
Pregnancy is good minus the exhaustion but I am chugging along!
I am excited for my belly to keep growing because I still am in the awkward stage of "is she or isn't she pregnant!" but every day the baby is growing as is my belly!:)

Anyone else expecting in December!?!?
Our due date is December 20th!
Hope all you guys are feeling FAB if you are pregnant!
xoxo

Visiting Home...

I always talk on here about how much I love where I am from.
Funny because I always wanted to break free and live somewhere cooler.
Now, I would give anything to transport our new house to my old town.
Its a slow paced lifestyle, you can drive a few minutes out to the country and see real hard working people, plowing their fields, horses pulling their buggies, a much more beautiful picture than what you see in a real city, where people are begging for money/food and you don't feel comfortable getting out of your car, man, where I am from is so much more beautiful NOW than ever.
We have a tradition every year with my parents and my best friend and her family to attend this super small town fireworks and festival. It is 80% amish, and I love every thing about it. They have a huge chicken BBQ and homemade ice cream, it just screams SIMPLE! Everyone is happy and content, and no one is trying to impress anyone, it is PURE happiness.
The only downside this year was that we got poured on at about 8pm, sending us running for the cars and home! I was literally carrying Jude, and Vincent in the pouring rain sprinting to the car, it was a hot mess. But up until the downpour the night was FABULOUS! Here are some pics from our weekend and the Amish Fest, ps this year my sister in law and nephew joined us, they had to see what all the fuss was about ;) I think they are now locked in to being part of "The Amish Fest" crew!

The goods, the most amazing chicken EVER. I am not kidding. It is magic!
Chrissy's adorable Claira, one of my boys will hopefully marry her one day ;)

 Seriously, isn't she the cutest!
My little stinkers, who are growing SO BIG!:(
Jude devouring ice cream. It's funny because I eat mine the same way. haha.
Cousin Cael giving Luke a pony ride!
Pop-it's time! I love that Claira gets down and dirty with the boys!
The hubs and I, I swear we never get pics together, I just love him!

and the fact that we are complete nerds together ;)
Obviously had to give the baby some ;)
Chrissy and I, I just LOVE HER!
Chrissy is also pregnant, she is 10 weeks ahead of me, doesn't she look fab!!
Just an awkward belly shot ;) We like to keep it fresh!
Chrissy, me and my sister in law Jennifer, they were dressed EXACTLY the same.
Clearly, I missed the memo.
All in all it was a FUN night even with the rain!!
A few more pics from the weekend.
My dad and Jordan are like two peas in a pod. Their new found love is rockets, they built this and took the boys out to the country to shoot it off. They crack me up! They wanted a picture of their rocket for the record books....haha
See....total nerds and I love them both so much!!
We also hit up the zoo while we were in Cleveland area.
I love Jude's chubby legs, I swear he just keeps getting fatter. I love it!
My parents got the boys a marshmellow shooter. It is hilarious. Vincent thinks he is so legit!
Pants on backwards and the face of determination.

This is how Jude rides a trike, rides a trike, rides a trike....
And LuLu Lemon hamming it up!

What happens when the rockets and other flying toys hit the roof. Numerous times.

And that is all. WHEW. Holy photo dump.

Hope you guys are having a fab summer!
xoxo
