17 Weeks....& Name Reveal!

It's time to start the monthly updates
I would say weekly, but let's not kid ourselves I cannot commit to that!
Now that my belly is finally showing I am going to take weekly pics and then update then when they things look bigger ;)
Anyways....here we go!
How far along are you?
17 weeks, it has really flown by!

Total weight gain:
up 8 lbs although it feels like so much more.
I am sure after next week and our vacation I will be in double digits haha

How big is baby?:
About 5 ounces and 5 inches from head to buns! About the size of a bell pepper
Yum Yum!

Maternity clothes:
Not yet, I stocked up on some T's in a size up that should get me through the pregnancy!
I can't stand maternity clothes so I try to just make it through with larger sizes in pants and shirts!

Stretch marks?:
No more than before!

Decent, I have been reading before bed to try to fall asleep quicker and it's been working so it's getting better and I limited my water intake at night so I am not going to the bathroom a million times.
Best moment this week?:
Vincent and Luke keep mentioning the baby. They both claim it's a girl! I just love hearing them talk about the baby. I love reminding them that they were once in my belly as well. It's so surreal to be pregnant and to have toddlers, you can see what they will become in just a few short years!

I have felt tiny twinges here and there! I love it!

Food cravings?:
I go back and forth between sweet and salty.
I have just been trying to keep my protein intake up because I get dizzy and lightheaded a lot.
Just gotta keep eating!

Food aversions?:
None really

Labor signs?:
No way thank God!

Belly button in or out?:
Still in!

What I miss:
I would LOVE a glass of wine, or two!
And to not feel exhausted. This pregnancy has been the worst thus far!

What I'm looking forward to:
Meeting our little one in 23ish weeks! I cannot wait to hold him or her!

What I'm not looking forward to:
Jude came within 15 minutes of us walking into the hospital so I am VERY nervous for the delivery. I just want to make it to the hospital, I can already picture me delivering him or her in the car or something awkward. I just want enough notice to get into a room and have a doctor deliver haha!

We are NOT finding out.
I know I said that the past two times but Jordan is VERY adamant that he does not want to know.
So we will have our ultrasound next month and LOOK AWAY when they show the gender....
What I can tell you is that we have names.
William John or William Joseph
is our top runner for the boys team
Let's face it, it's probably another boy haha
BUT if not, we decided on a NEW girl name....
Charlotte Rose!
We had been in love with Giuliana but the love faded and we have both fallen in love with Charlotte!
I just love the old charm to it, my great aunt was named Charlotte and she was a spit fire and always the person I looked forward to seeing so it is only fitting to name her Charlotte!

There you have it....
Pregnancy is good minus the exhaustion but I am chugging along!
I am excited for my belly to keep growing because I still am in the awkward stage of "is she or isn't she pregnant!" but every day the baby is growing as is my belly!:)

Anyone else expecting in December!?!?
Our due date is December 20th!
Hope all you guys are feeling FAB if you are pregnant!

  1. glad to hear it is flying by for you! And I love the names!! Charlotte was actually one of our favorite names when I was pregnant with Kennedy. They are both great name choices though :) Hope your energy perks up!

  2. Cute names! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a girl, you need some more estrogen in that house! My son was born 12/30/11 but was due 12/26, having a baby at Xmas time is a lot of fun.

  3. I'm due exactly one month after you on January 20th!!!! My mom's birthday is December 21st and she was sad I wasn't due then. You might have a Christmas baby!

I can't wait to feel the baby moving around, hopefully soon, I'm 12 weeks and 2 days today and showing a little but still look fat (well at least I think I do) lol

I'm so glad to have found your blog, having pregnant blog buddies is AWESOME!

  4. I'm so excited...and frankly...I think it's a Charlotte. Love both names! Congrats, Allie!

  5. I'm gonna guess it's a CHARLOTTE! You look great mama. Loving the names.

  6. I'm due November 8th with my second child, but my first GIRL. It seems to be a year for girls, so I'm gonna predict you'll have a little Charlotte come December. Such an adorable name!

  7. Jennifer predicted that T. J. was a boy and when I asked her how she knew, she said that God had told her. So maybe Vincent and Luke are right, you never know what the angels whisper to the boys.

  8. Love Charlotte Rose...Do you think she'll have a tinge of rose colored hair like your Aunt Charlotte??
For a boy I prefer William Joseph as it flows better than William John. (Just my thought) Mom would be so pleased his name was her father's name, William and I love Will for short.

  9. I love the name Charlotte :)

  10. i dont think i would be able to handle not finding out. especially since were all hoping for a lil girl for you this time around, since youre outnumbered! lol
love the name charlotte by the way! so pretty and classic and southern if you ask me ;)
the sweet life of a southern wife

  11. Wha whaaa?!?!? I kid you not, Charlotte Rose was our girl name long ago before I decided I didn't want that name anymore!! Hope you finally get your girl.
